Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Ephesians 4:32 NIV

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you felt that you could never forgive someone for what they did to you, or to a loved one? Or that something you have done could never be forgiven? You believe you have messed up so badly that God couldn’t possibly forgive you and that you’d lost your salvation?

The truth is this, God forgives and he also restores. The whole essence of his death on the cross of Calvary was to restore us to the Father and give us direct access to him.

To be a Christian means that you have to forgive those you consider unforgivable because God has forgiven the unforgivable in you.
I agree it is not easy but when we hold on to grudges, nurse and nurture them, it harms our spiritual well being. Resentment is like poison.

Today, choose to forgive even if you don’t feel like it. By forgiving, you set your heart free.

Prayer:
Father please help me to forgive all those who have hurt me. Help me to always realise that in forgiving, I help my spiritual life.
